LAMGEA, the innovative press system developed by System for the production of large-size ceramic slabs has been selected by New Pearl. The press system will be installed in one of the facilities at the general headquarters in Foshan during 2017.
The aim of the New Pearl industrial group is to meet the growing demand for products with sleek design and to become the main reference on the Chinese market.
In detail, New Pearl confirmed the installation of a LAMGEA 30000t moldless press for the production of slabs in porcelain stoneware up to 1.6 x 3.2 meters with thickness varying from 6 to 20 millimeters.
LAMGEA is a moldless technology which, for the application specially designed to meet the production requirements of New Pearl, applies a force of up to 30 thousand tons uniformly over the covering of atomized material. The work cycle of Lamina technology ensures precision in each phase, from the spreading of the powders to the realization of the pre-fired slabs. The synergy of these special techniques guarantees flawless air removal, resulting in high quality ceramic products that are perfectly flat and free of internal tension.
The choice of New Pearl seals a technological partnership that had its beginnings in the early 2000s with the installation of several units of the Rotocolor decoration system patented by System. It proceeded with the supply of incised silicone cylinders with the installation of sorting lines and palletizers. Emblem of the technological partnership between System and New Pearl is undoubtedly the Creadigit digital printing system, of which the Chinese industrial group is the largest customer internationally for the number of machines installed.
Approximately 40 of these systems are currently operating in the New Pearl factories located in the regions of Guangdong and Jiangxi.
