The Lasselsberger Group, the leading European producer of ceramic tiles, has signed an important agreement with System for the technological innovation of the production plants situated in the Czech Republic (Chlumčany and Rakovnik) and in Hungary (Romhany). The supply provides for the most advanced Made in Italy automated solutions.
In the plant in Chlumčany (Czech Republic), large-formats of porcelain stoneware with the Rako brand are produced on the new line; the core of the decoration department is composed of two new Creadigits. More specifically, the Creadigit E high resolution graphic print model on products of a width of up to 60 cm, while the Creadigit XLE decorates larger ceramic surfaces, reaching a width of up to 90 cm. On both printers, in addition to the Dimatix1024 model M printer heads, High Flow (HF) heads have been installed for the application of digital material effects that make every surface unique. In sequence, the Rotocolors complete the organization of the graphic project.
The technological supply also includes the Robofloor, the reliable New Era stocking machines installed at the entrance and exit of the rectification and smoothing lines, and feeding the End-Of-Line system.
System’s experience in the automated Ceramic Sorting area has been applied in the Chlumčany factory, with the installation of two complete lines that provide for the most advanced process systems such as: Qualitron for quality control; Liner2000 for dimensional checks and analyses of orthogonality; Planar for the acquisition of data on the curvature of surfaces; Multigecko for rapid and efficient sorting of the ceramic pieces; Multipack for latest generation packing, reducing the use of carton for large formats; Griffon for the palletization activities.
With regards to the Rakovnik factory, again in the Czech Republic, System has supplied two new Sorting lines composed of the Multigecko sorter, the FV08 packer, and the Falcon pelletizer. It’s an installation that represents the first step in an important project of plant modernization.
With a view to global renewal, the Lasselsberger Group has replicated its technological updating with System also for End-of-Line in the Hungarian Zalakeramia factory.
But that’s not all. In line with its particular focus on product flow data analysis and in order to push continuous improvement, Lasselsberger has introduced Prime, the software platform entirely developed by System. In the Rako plant in Chlumčany the Prime Connector package has been installed, which allows for complete interfacing with the System automations, the acquisition of all the data regarding production and the status of the machines in the line, as well as an historical record of data and their integration in the ERP management software.
